Seb is a Storeroom Assistant at Baby Bunting, playing a key role in keeping the warehouse running smoothly and working closely with the team to ensure stock is handled efficiently and the store is well-supported behind the scenes.
Share a snapshot of your journey with Baby Bunting so far.
I started working for Baby Bunting in November 2024, and since then I’ve been able to build my skills across all areas of the warehouse, while also picking up some experience on the floor. I’ve had the opportunity to also work at other stores in the area, supporting warehouse teams on busy pallet delivery days and helping when team members are on leave.
What motivates you to keep learning, improving, or taking the next step in your career?
My biggest driver for growth is staying up to date with information in the store and across the company, so I can keep building my competency and knowledge. I work best when I’m informed - whether that’s with products or processes across any part of the business. Being able to help both customers and fellow team members makes me feel more comfortable at work and lets me enjoy my week with less stress.
Is there a piece of advice you’ve received that has influenced how you work or approach your career?
While I can’t recall one specific piece of advice that’s shaped how I work, the place I’m at today - and the knowledge and skills I’ve built - are down to the amazing people who have supported me since day one. From the warehouse team, to our Assistant Store Manager, and all the team members past and present, I’ve learned so much. I think one of the most important parts of any job is the people around you, especially when you’re just starting out, and I’m really grateful for the support, knowledge and care I’ve received along the way.
What do you find most fulfilling about the work you do?
The most fulfilling part of my work is helping keep everything - both in the storeroom and on the shop floor - running smoothly and as stress-free as possible. Whether it’s receiving deliveries, working stock, or cleaning and organising the warehouse and floor, I enjoy keeping things flowing behind the scenes for our Retail Sales Assistants and customers. Supporting my team, just as they support me, is a big personal motivator, and I’m really grateful for the tight-knit team we have, both during and outside of work hours.
How would you describe the culture at Baby Bunting, and how it helps people thrive here?
The people I work with every day are the reason I enjoy my job so much. I feel very lucky to have such a supportive team at my store, who make coming to work an enjoyable experience and have helped me build the skills and experience I have today - from our storeroom crew to the team on the floor and the management team keeping everything running. Even when I’ve had the chance to work at other stores in the area, I’ve found the same thing - great teams, full of people who genuinely want to support both each other and our customers.
