Our Executive Team

Baby Bunting’s Executive team is comprised of 10 executives with extensive retail, leadership and specialist experience. Information on their skills and experience is set out below.

Mark Teperson

CEO and Managing Director

Mark joined Baby Bunting on 2 October 2023.

Mark is a highly regarded retail leader with more than 20 years’ experience across retail and fintech. He has a proven track record of driving exceptional results through re-imagining omni-channel customer experience, harnessing the power of data and technology and building strong high-performance cultures. Mark has extensive experience in a variety of disciplines including strategy, store design and operations, product development, merchandise, planning, payments, growth marketing, loyalty, and omni-channel retail.

He joins Baby Bunting from Afterpay where he was Global Chief Product & Chief Strategy Officer. At Afterpay, Mark was responsible for developing strategy and driving product development, innovating consumer experience and driving merchant value. Prior to his role at Afterpay, Mark was the Chief Digital Officer at Australia's largest footwear retailer, Accent Group, where he built the Digital business and capability from inception. Mark’s foray into retail began at The Athletes Foot, and he went on to become General Manager of the children’s speciality shoe retailer, Shoes & Sox, at age 22. He co-founded omni-channel retailer Shoe Superstore in 2005 which was acquired by Accent Group in 2009.

Darin Hoekman

Chief Financial Officer

Darin Hoekman commenced with Baby Bunting in January 2014He leads Baby Bunting’s Finance, IT, Risk and Investor Relations functions. 

Darin holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant Darin is also a company secretary of Baby Bunting Group Limited.   

Ciara McGoohan

Chief Customer Officer / Chief Data & Analytics Officer

Ciara joined Baby Bunting in March 2024 and holds the roles of Chief Customer Officer and Chief Data & Analytics Officer.

Before joining Baby Bunting she was the Vice President, Customer Science & Strategy at Afterpay, having joined in May 2020. She has broad expertise in customer science, strategy and CRM. She also has deep data and analytics experience having worked in a range of retail and fintech roles in Australia and overseas, including David Jones (where she was GM Insights & Advanced Analytics), Mastercard (Head of Data & Services, Retail, ANZ), Quantium (Senior Managing Consultant) and dunnhumby, a global customer data science company (where she commenced as a graduate in London and finished as Head of Retail, China).

Michael Pane

General Manager – Store Operations

Michael joined Baby Bunting in December 2005. He has over 30 years of retailing experience in the baby goods market having joined Pram city (later renamed Babyco) in 1988. During his career with Babyco, Michael gained broad retail experience through a number of leadership roles including Operations Manager, National Buyer and Warehouse and Logistics Manager  

As General Manager – Store Operations, Michael has responsibility for all aspects of store operations, including store development and retail operations.   

Rod Williams

General Manager - Online & Digital

Rod commenced with Baby Bunting in June 2020, and is responsible for the online channel and digital capability.  

Rod has over 18 years global experience in technology consulting, program management, e-commerce, start-up advisory, and digital transformation roles.

Rod holds a Bachelor of Information Systems, and was recognised in the Top 50 People in E-commerce in 2021, 2022 and 2023.  

Matt Watson

General Manager - Supply Chain

Matt Watson commenced with Baby Bunting in September 2024 as General Manager - Supply Chain.

Before joining Baby Bunting, Matt headed up supply chains for Wesfarmers businesses, Mecca and Officeworks, as well as supply chain roles with Coles and ASDA (UK). Matt has broad expertise in supply chain operations, strategy and central store operations.  As General Manager – Supply Chain, Matt has responsibility for all aspects of the supply chain, including the international supply chain, inbound & outbound freight across Australia, and overseeing all in-house and 3PL warehouse operations.

Sharyn Murray

General Manager - People & Culture

Sharyn Murray commenced with Baby Bunting in February 2019 as the General Manager People & Culture.  

Sharyn has 30 years of experience in Human Resources across many industries including Retail (Coles Group), Banking and Finance (ANZ)and Hospitality and Entertainment (Crown Ltd). Sharyn has held several senior roles within Human Resources in both advisory and specialist areas, Change and Communication management and transformation both nationally and globally.  

Sharyn holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology and Human Resource Management and is a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute. 

Matt Rodda

General Manager - IT & Program Management

Matt Rodda joined Baby Bunting in October 2019 and is responsible for Information Technology, including the governance of technology transformation projects. 

Matt has over 20 years' experience in the transformation and operation of information technology across all business functions for leading national and international businesses. Matt’s previous experience includes Andersen Consulting, Caltex, Shell, Coles and Coles Express.  

Matt holds a Bachelor of Engineering and an MBA and is a member of the Project Management Institute. 

Corey Lewis

Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary

Corey Lewis commenced with Baby Bunting in February 2016 and is responsible for Baby Bunting’s Legal and Compliance departments, in addition to his role as a company secretary of Baby Bunting Group Limited. 

Before joining Baby Bunting, Corey worked as corporate lawyer at a national law firm practising in the areas of capital markets and head office advisoryHe holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of ArtsHe is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
