It takes a village

Baby Bunting is proud to partner for the first time with Our Village to host a four week fundraising campaign, running from Monday 2 February to Sunday 1 March 2026.

Throughout the campaign, Baby Bunting team members and customers are invited to help raise awareness and funds by making a donation when shopping in our Victorian stores or online. 100% of all donations will go directly to Our Village, enabling them to continue supporting babies and children in need across Victoria.

Our Village-formerly known as St Kilda Mums, Geelong Mums and Eureka Mums-supports vulnerable babies and children by collecting and rehoming essential items for families who need them most. Focusing on children from birth to six years old, Our Village ensures every child has access to safe, practical items that support wellbeing and development during the most critical early years of life.

Items received by Our Village are generously donated by the community and carefully sorted, cleaned and safety checked by dedicated volunteers and staff. Every item is assessed against strict safety and quality standards, ensuring families receive goods that are safe, reliable and ready to use. Once prepared, items are thoughtfully matched to individual requests, packed with care, and distributed through Our Village’s two warehouses in Clayton and Geelong. This practical support helps ease financial pressure, provides immediate assistance during times of crisis or transition, and supports frontline professionals in their vital work with families, checked by dedicated volunteers and staff. Every item is assessed against strict safety and quality standards, ensuring families receive goods that are safe, reliable and ready to use.

Since establishing our partnership with Our Village, Baby Bunting has seen first‑hand the incredible impact of their work. Our team members have volunteered in the warehouse, helping to sort and pack clothing, clean car seats and prams, and prepare toys and other donated items for rehoming. We have also proudly hosted a donation drive at our Store Support Centre, contributing three pallets of product, and matched $25,000 raised during the December Festive Appeal to help support families over the Christmas period.

Our Village works closely with social workers, maternal and child health nurses, and family support services who identify families experiencing vulnerability and request specific items on their behalf. This trusted referral model ensures support reaches the right families at the right time, while preserving dignity and privacy.

By giving high quality children’s goods a purposeful second life, Our Village also prevents more than 209,000kgs from landfill each year - reducing waste and contributing to a more sustainable future.

Through this simple yet powerful model, Our Village supports more than 20,000 babies and children across Victoria every year. By bringing together donors, volunteers, professionals and supporters, they create lasting change for families, strengthen communities, and help care for the planet.
